About these terms
These terms apply when you use rampfinity.com and when you engage Rampfinity to design, build or look after a website.
If we send you a written proposal or quote, that document sets out the specifics of your project — scope, price and timeline. Where the proposal and these terms disagree, the proposal wins.
Rampfinity is a web design and search visibility business based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Rampfinity, and "you" means the person or business engaging us.
Our services
We design and build websites, and we offer an optional monthly Care Plan covering hosting, domain management and small updates. We also offer search and AI visibility work, quoted separately.
Everything we build is quoted from a written scope. Work that isn't in that scope isn't included, and we'll quote it separately rather than quietly adding it to your bill.
Quotes and pricing
Website prices start at $1,000 CAD. The final figure depends on the size of the site and is confirmed in writing before any work begins. Once you accept a quote, that price is fixed for the scope described in it.
If you ask for work beyond the agreed scope, we'll tell you what it costs before doing it. You're never billed for something you didn't approve.
Quotes are valid for 30 days. Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Payment
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, a deposit is payable before work starts and the balance is payable on completion, before the site goes live.
Invoices are due within 14 days. If an invoice is significantly overdue we may pause work until it's settled.
Care Plan fees are billed monthly in advance.
What we need from you
Projects run to schedule when both sides move. You agree to:
- Give us the content, photos, logos and information we ask for, within a reasonable time
- Provide access to any accounts we need, such as your domain registrar
- Give feedback and approvals promptly
- Nominate one person who can make decisions on your behalf
You confirm that anything you send us is yours to use — that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. We rely on that, and you agree to cover us if a claim arises because it wasn't true.
If a project stalls on your side for more than 60 days, we may close it out and invoice for the work completed. Restarting it later may be quoted as new work.
Who owns what
When your final invoice is paid, the completed website and its custom code are yours. So are your domain name and your hosting account. There's no licence fee and nothing to keep paying us for in order to stay online.
Third-party components — fonts, libraries, stock images and similar — stay under their own licences, which we'll tell you about where it matters.
Until final payment is made, the work remains ours.
We may show work we've done in our portfolio and marketing. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we won't.
Care Plan
The Care Plan is optional. You can have a website built by us and never take one.
If you do take it, it costs $100 CAD per month and includes hosting, your domain name registered and renewed, and small updates such as changing your hours, prices, photos or services.
Hosting fair use: hosting is included for sites receiving up to 10,000 visitors per month. If your site consistently goes past that, we'll talk to you about it before changing anything — we won't take your site offline without warning or bill you a surprise overage.
What counts as a small update: text changes, swapping photos, updating prices or hours, adding or removing a service. New pages, redesigns and new functionality are quoted separately.
Cancelling: you can cancel any time, effective at the end of your current billing month. We don't refund part-months. You keep your website. We'll help you move your domain and your site to a host of your choosing, and we won't hold either hostage.
Search and AI visibility
We build every site so search engines and AI assistants can read it properly, and we set up your Google Business Profile. That's the part we control, and we do it on every build.
What we can't control is where you rank. Search engines and AI assistants decide that using their own systems, which change constantly and are influenced by your competitors, your market and your reputation. Nobody can honestly guarantee a position, a ranking, an amount of traffic, or that a specific AI assistant will mention your business — and we don't.
Third-party services
Your website may rely on services run by other companies — hosting, domain registration, form delivery, booking tools, mapping, payment providers. Those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for their acts, outages or changes.
If one of them changes in a way that breaks something on your site, we'll tell you and quote any work needed to fix it.
Website availability
We aim to keep sites we host online and running, but no host is perfect. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, and we're not liable for losses caused by downtime, hosting failures or events outside our reasonable control.
Content on this website is provided for general information. We try to keep it accurate and current, but we don't warrant that it is, and nothing on it is professional advice for your specific situation.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for anything connected with our services is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost data or loss of goodwill.
Ending the agreement
Either of us can end a project in writing. If you end it, you pay for the work completed to that point. If we end it — which we'd only do for good reason, such as an unpaid invoice or being asked to do something unlawful — we'll invoice for work completed and hand over what you've paid for.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here when you engage us is the one that applies to your project. If we change the Care Plan terms or price, we'll give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute goes to the courts of Ontario.
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
